Use of Facilities
- Access to all programs in the six core areas Leadership Development, Cultural and Fine Arts, Education and Academic Enrichment, Technology, Health and Fitness and Music Technology and Programs.
- Access to the Games Room, Cyber Café, Knowledge Center, Music Programs, Theater Programs, Meals and Other Activities.
- Hours of Operation:
- Monday through Thursday 2:30pm – 8:00pm
- Middle School Students: Friday 2:30pm - 8:00pm & Saturday 11:00am - 8:00pm.
- High School Students: Friday 2:30pm - 10:00pm & Saturday 11:00am - 10:00pm.

Membership Fee
Effective October 1, 2005 membership fees will be $25.00 per year for all youth ages 11 to 19. If a potential member's birthday is within thirty (30) days of the day of enrollment, eligibility is satisfied and enrollment is permitted.
The fee is due each year within fifteen (15) days of expiration. The individual membership fee is payable by check and money order.
Each potential member must present an official birth record with proof of guardianship, proof of residence, school enrollment (ages 11-16), and Health Examination within one year of date of enrollment. We recommend a TB Tine test.
Parent or guardian must be present to register.

Membership Policies and Procedures
- Each member must present to the YouthVille Detroit Front Desk their membership card to verify their membership is active upon entering the building. All members must swipe their membership card when exiting the building to verify their exit from the facility.
- Once member enters the building they will not be allowed to exit until a parent or guardian comes to pick them up.
- Orientation is required for all new members and their parents, which will be done during registration. If the member is not present at the time of registration, orientation will take place at their first visit.
- A group orientation will take place two weeks following registration which the member is expected to attend. This is not to replace the initial orientation but is in addition to.
- Loaned or expired cards will be repossessed and may risk lost of membership.
- Lost or stolen cards must be reported. A $5.00 fee will be charged for membership replacement cards. Entrance to facility requires a valid membership card.
- Minimum age for all fitness classes is 13 years of age.
- All teens are required to take a Fitness Center Orientation before using the exercise center. Youth under 13 years old will require an individual program.
- Personal Training is a member service; outside trainers are not allowed in the facility.
- The DYF or its affiliates are not responsible for items lost or stolen while utilizing the facilities/programs.
- Lockers are available to secure personal valuables on a daily basis. Locks must be removed at the end of the business day.
- Violation of the DYF YouthVille Detroit program policies and procedures is grounds for membership termination without refund.
- Some health and fitness programs may require medical clearance prior to participation.
- Closed-toed athletic shoes are required for use of all fitness equipment (cardio and strength) and fitness classes.
- Loose fitting clothes, tights, leotards, gym shorts, shirts must be worn for dance and sports activities.
- Appropriate attire and adherence to the dress code (see YouthVille Dress Code) is required.
- Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult when not involved in DYF or Tenant/Program Partner program.
- Parents, relatives or persons picking up or waiting on a member to complete or engage in a facility activity must wait in the lobby, Cyber Café, Parent Lounge or participate in an activity designed for parents or adults (as permitted).
- We suggest you coordinate pick up times to avoid searching through the facility to locate a member. Due to meeting schedules paging a member will not be available.
- All parents, guests and members must exit the building through the Lothrop exit.
- Members must have their membership card on them while in the facility.

PROGRAM ENROLLMENT
Registration for programs may be done at the facility. To avoid late fees and to provide safe student/teacher ratios, advance registration is recommended for all programs. Space may be limited. The membership fee must be paid in full prior to the start of participation in any event or activity.

RETURNED CHECK/BANK DRAFT POLICY
There is a $30 charge for all returned checks or NSF drafts. This places your membership on hold until payment is received. Use of facility is not permitted until payments are made current. Checks will not be resubmitted and payment must be made by money order or cashier's check. If a NSF draft occurs, parents/guardians must pay the fee before the youth member will be able to continue and or activate their membership.

MEMBERSHIP/PROGRAM FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Membership and Program assistance are available for youth. Funds may be available on an individual case basis. Contact our Front Desk Representative or a Program Administrator for more information.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION UPDATES
In order to better serve you, we ask that you keep your membership information up to date. Please notify the Reception Desk or YouthVille Detroit staff of the following:
- Change of name, address or phone number.
- Change of school information.
- Change of Emergency Contact Person information.

CREDITS
Membership fees are non-refundable unless the request in within thirty days of the enrollment date or DYF will revoke your membership privileges within thirty days of the initial enrollment date.
